About Complidar
Complidar is a website compliance scanner for small businesses. It crawls up to 120 pages of a site and runs 22 checks, covering ADA/WCAG accessibility, CCPA and state privacy laws, GDPR, VPPA video tracking, session-replay wiretap risk, auto-renewal (ROSCA), TCPA, and more. It then prices the exposure with liability ranges drawn from 250+ real, cited settlements. A scan takes minutes and the preview is free.
Why we built it
Plaintiff law firms run automated scans of small-business websites every day, looking for the violations that settle: an inaccessible checkout flow, a tracker that fires before consent, a Meta Pixel on a video page. The owner usually learns about the problem from the demand letter.
Complidar runs the same kind of scan and gives the results to the owner first, with the evidence, the comparable settled cases, and concrete remediation steps, in minutes instead of months.
How the liability numbers work
Every dollar figure in a Complidar report traces to the public record: a settlement database of 250+ cited cases ($8B+ recovered across 20+ jurisdictions), sourced from PACER federal dockets, state attorney-general releases, FTC consent decrees, and DOJ ADA settlement letters. Pending complaints and dismissed matters are excluded.
The “estimated exposure” range on a finding is the 25th-to-75th-percentile range of resolved amounts from comparable cases. A range of documented outcomes, never a prediction about your site. When fewer than four comparable cases match, we show you the count instead of pretending a statistical range exists.
What we won’t do
We don’t inflate. Findings below our confidence threshold (0.7) never reach your report. If a detector fails mid-scan, the report says exactly that (a banner, not silence) because an absence of findings must never read as a pass we didn’t actually run. And we don’t give legal advice: every report tells you to bring the findings to a licensed attorney, because that’s what the findings are for.
Who it’s for
Small-business owners and operators who can’t justify a five-figure manual compliance audit but can’t afford a six-figure settlement either, and the agencies and consultants who manage websites for them. If you run a portfolio of sites, talk to us.
